Our hospital first began providing services in 1941 under the name Konya Maternity and Child Care Home, in the building which was also used by the Provincial Directorate of Health. In 1980, it was moved to the building on Nalçacı Street, the construction of which had begun in 1976 as the Traffic Hospital by the Konya Association for Building and Sustaining Hospitals. In 2000, our hospital was renamed Dr. Faruk Sükan Maternity and Children’s Hospital.
Within the scope of the healthcare transformation program, due to the construction of a new hospital on the site where the Konya Numune Hospital and our hospital were located, as of 02/07/2012, it was relocated to the historic building vacated by Numune Hospital.
In January 2017, our hospital, with all its units fully and completely operational, moved to its current building, where it continues to provide services under the name Konya Dr. Ali Kemal Belviranlı Obstetrics, Gynecology and Pediatric Diseases Hospital. Our hospital continues to provide uninterrupted 24-hour service in its 395-bed wards, with our specialist physicians and healthcare staff.
